The story was mainly about three skateboarders, David, Jimmy and Henry. Together they were called ‘The Woodpushers”. There was Olivia, who is Jimmy’s sister. There was also Mrs Hechterman, who is an 80 year old nice lady. All of these characters and 80 more passengers were in flight on an airplane to California. Ms Hechterman was going to attend a knitting convention. The woodpushers and Olivia were planning to go to watch the X-games - this is an extreme sports event. They were all relaxing and enjoying the flight when suddenly one of the passengers screamed “ Something happened to the stewardess !!!! “. She was lying motionless on the aisle. Next two terrorist appeared from the back of the plane...
One of the terrorist yelled “Everybody, Get back in your seats!! if you don’t then you will suffer the same pain as the stewardess did!!” Everyone obeyed...
The woodpushers and Olivia started planning to fight back. They had a plan. First they did want to know how the stewardess died. One of the passengers said : my friend said that the terrorist got a pencil and stabbed her on the neck. Then Henry said “ A pencil all they have is a PENCIL!!!” At that moment the woodpushers realized that they would have a good chance of winning from the terrorists, but that it would be a hard fight because they were adults and they were trained terrorists.
David noticed that another stewardess was preparing boiling water in a coffee pot - he asked “Are you going to make coffee for them??”. “ The water is for throwing at them” she whispered.
Then the fight started....
There were two kids fighting each terrorist. David and Jimmy attacked the terorrist with a bomb - a fake bomb! Henry and Olivia then attacked the other terrorist who was the leader of the group.
David and Jimmy won easily. David threw Jimmy”s titanium skateboard and threw it straight at the chest of the terrorist. Henry and Olivia also won easily because all the ladies with knitting needles joined in the fight! It was not a pretty sight!
They thought that it was over, but.....
Suddenly, the entire plane shook.
The woodpushers, Olivia and the stewardess ran to the cockpit and realized that the door was locked.
They took the foodcart and bashed it into the door. The door did not break.
They wanted to try again, but this time, another terrorist opened the door - so they had to stop.
The terrorist yelled “Go back in your seats !!!”.
David looked at him and said “I don’t think so” and threw Jimmy’s titanium skateboard at him.
the terrorist block the skateboard by a axe handle and charged at the wood pushers with the axe high in his hands.
At that moment, the stewards splashed the boiling water on his knickers.
Then happened the fight of their lives. During the fight, the terrorist said “A paradise awaits in heaven”. Jimmy did not know why he said that. Jim thought the terrorist did not know what he was saying, because Henry hit him on the head with a fire extinguisher.
Finally all the terrorists were captured, but there problems were still not over...
The pilot and the co-pilot were both unconscious so they tried to fly the plane, but nobody knew how to control it.
The plane crashed, and everyone died, except the woodpushers, Olivia, the stewardess and Mrs Hechterman.....
And this was just the beginning of a great adventure......

No, we only know Jimmy’s side of the story because the book was written as if Jimmy was telling it. i do not know what the terrorists where thinking of when they tried to hijack the plane.
How did these different people look at the event the same or differently?
Everyone probably looked at the events differently, but only Jimmy’s version was written down.
i am sure the terrorists had a very different way of looking at what happened.
What facts did you learn about flying in this book?
I know what sometimes bad people, like terrorists, try to get into the cockpit to take over a plane.
I learned that it is difficult and dangerous to fly a plane without lessons.
Many of the passengers died in the crash, and it was mentioned in the book that every year more than 200 people die in plane accidents.
What false ideas did you learn about?
